Mark's primary training and study have been in Mindfulness Meditation, Vipassana and breathing practices. He is widely travelled through central/southeastern Asia and the Far East, which has given him expansive cultural awareness and experience. Currently, Mark is an actively practising Vajrayana Buddhist, which encompasses principles of Taoism, Zen and Confucianism. In addition to Mindfulness, Meditation Mark is an active practitioner of Tantra and Zen Meditation. At this time, following his ordination, Mark chooses a mainly non-denominational path which he supports with various teachers from around the world.
Mark lives in the peaceful rural countryside of Essex with his partner Susan, where together they share an ethical, sustainable, and well-being lifestyle, working with other couples to help them achieve the same.
Mark is accomplished in the knowledge and art of tea, having taught the subject around the world for Twinings. He has put to use his Tea Tasting skills with various articles, TV appearances and one to one coaching. Aside, Mark now combines the experience of Tea into meditation practices using the dual notions of relaxation and focus.
Mark is particularly interested in integrating spiritual personal development, realisation, peace, harmony and social justice into his meditation practice and teaching. He has a particular interest in helping those who have been impacted by the narcissistic and controlling behaviour of others, unwinding the learnt behaviours that are often left as mental scars. In addition Mark and a growing group of people dedicated to universal love, justice and real well-being for each other and the earth. It all begins with cultivating a liberated and realising lifestyle. Mark works with people and organisations around the world on an ongoing basis.
In the midst of the current global environmental crisis, Mark is committed to using his 'insights' gained from spending time with communities in far-flung remote communities around the world to explore the relationship between contemplative practice nature, plant-based consumption and sustainability, whilst applying the wisdom of mindfulness, compassion and wisdom towards a new way of peaceful living and sharing this with others. Mark works with people and classes on spiritual mentoring, meditation tuition and carries out various Buddhist Chaplain duties.

A listening service is not counselling, I don’t give advice and I don’t ask questions about what is shared . I don’t judge or interrupt.
However, I do offer a space for you to speak about anything that is on their mind for up to 45 minutes. I do reflect back what has been said and I might ask a question at the end to help summarise and rationalise.
Mindfulness Meditation is a method of relaxation and consciousness expansion by focussing on your relationship with your attention and the outside world. When you learn it brings a deeper understanding and wholesome meaning to the way you lead your life , creating stronger relationships and often helps to frame unresolved traumas.
Meditation therapy is commonly used to focus the full power of your mind on your personal concerns, life challenges, wellness issues or life goals you want to achieve or as a complimentary therapy, in conjunction to other treatment you might be having.
Tantric Meditation is used to clear difficult emotions and bring about self realisation – Tantric meditation is about the alchemy of transformation. In this meditation, we use breath, concentration, visualisation of energy movement and colour, and meditation to transform difficult emotions in the heart centre.
Spiritual advising takes the soul rather than the mind as it's starting point and is carried out on a one to one basis. It has an expanded view of life, recognising that the world is a complex mystery and takes into account belief systems, personal energy systems, subconscious states of awareness, spiritual theology, spiritual presence and higher self connections.
Spiritual advising sees that life is personal and each individual wants to build their own flowing relationship with themselves and others, without force. In spiritual counselling I show compassion for the self and others whilst working towards personal and collective growth.
The aim is for clients to express themselves and their world with intimate wisdom, spiritual awareness and personal authenticity, using integrity and wise use of their spiritual gifts, skills and knowledge.
In Spiritual Advising the emphasis is on dealing with the whole person and assisting the client with however the symptoms appear. Each client is seen as an individual and sessions are non-prescriptive and individually tailored. The advisor responds to immediate issues brought by the client, and supports and trusts the clients process
