Nestled in the serene Essex countryside, I share my life with my Buddhist fiancé, Mark. My career began in the engineering industry, but my lifelong passion for dance, movement, and sustainable living naturally guided me towards a more fulfilling path—teaching yoga.
As a certified RYT 200 yoga teacher,I specialise in Hatha yoga, Yin yoga and dynamic flow practices. In addition to teaching at municipal leisure facilities in Chelmsford, Mark and I run our own classes, where we blend yoga and Buddhist-style meditation to create holistic practices. Together, we have also led retreats overseas, offering participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in mindfulness, movement, and self-discovery. We also work one-to-one with aspiring practitioners, helping them deepen their practice and tailor their journey to meet their personal goals.
My classes focus on improving balance, mobility, and overall well-being. Through mindful asanas, breathwork (pranayama), and subtle energy techniques like bandhas, I guide students to release tension, improve posture, and enhance their physical and emotional stability.
Yoga has taught me that it is far more than physical movement—it is a journey of self-discovery and connection. Hatha yoga encourages mindfulness and harmony, while dynamic flows bring energy and strength, creating a balance between effort and ease. By merging these practices with meditation, I aim to provide my students with tools to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience.
For over five years, I have followed a plant-based diet, initially inspired by its health benefits. Over time, it has become a way to live in alignment with my values of compassion and sustainability. A balanced, plant-based lifestyle nourishes the body while minimising harm to the planet and fostering a more sustainable future.
Beyond yoga, I have a passion for interior design and creating spaces that promote well-being. I enjoy blending natural materials with rustic, eclectic, and exotic styles to design interiors that inspire and uplift. Our surroundings profoundly influence our mood and sense of balance, and I love helping others transform their spaces into sanctuaries.
My mission is to inspire others to live mindfully, find balance, and reconnect with themselves through yoga, meditation, and holistic living. Whether it’s through the classes and retreats I lead with Mark, one-to-one sessions for practitioners who would like to deepen their practice, or the transformative power of design, I am dedicated to helping people create lives they truly love.
Susan lives in the peaceful rural countryside of Essex, U.K. with his partner Mark who teaches Meditation. Together they share an ethical, sustainable, spiritually enhancing and well-being lifestyle, built on the foundations of kindness and compassion and wisdom, working with others to help them achieve the same.
